Charm Pure Happiness for in your Italian Bracelet. Everyone knows that a horseshoe brings good luck but why really? I’m going to break that down for you now.
The horseshoe as a good luck charm is usually attributed to St. Dunstan, the saint of blacksmiths. This Dunstan, a 10th-century blacksmith in Baltonsborough, southern England, is said to have been visited by the devil.
Dunstan had to forge a new horseshoe for the devil’s horse. However, the blacksmith pinched the devil’s nose with hot pliers and nailed the horseshoe to the foot of the Evil One, who cried out in pain.
Only when the devil promised never again to go through a door with a horseshoe hanging above it did Dunstan let go. (Source: Historianet).
